Another exciting week of football as the Stourbridge Tuesday league entered its 4th week of the season. With teams vying for supremacy in their respective divisions, there were plenty of goals, action, and drama on display.
We did have one non-attendance as 'Gary Neville is a Legend' gave the required seven days notice to cancel a fixture, we look forward to having them back next week.
In the Premier League division, 'The Galacticos' and 'Hold That FC' battled to a thrilling 4-4 draw, with both teams showcasing their attacking prowess and unwillingness to give up. 'Any Chance' got the better of 'Yatesys VI', winning 2-0 and dominating the match, whilst 'Murder On Zidanes Floor' edged past 'Lenton Orient' 3-2 as the game went end-to-end with both teams striving to get the winning goal.
In Division 1, 'Six Offenders FC' showed their dominance with a resounding victory over 'Stourbridge Olympic' in an eleven-goal thriller and an incredible attacking display. 'Lenton Orient B' also enjoyed a comfortable win as they took the 5-0 win on the night. Finally, 'Gangsters Allardyce' defeated Swanky FC 2-0 in a very evenly-sided game where both teams displayed promising football. 'Gangsters Allerdyce' currently sit third however are on the same points as second early on in the season.
Division 2 saw 'Balotelli-Tubbies' run riot, demolishing 'Lads On Toure' as they put in a spectacular team performance. 'Inter The Wagon' beat 'Pena FC' 3-1 with both sides showing potential in the game. 'HAS Bins and Genoa-cide' played out a goalless draw.
In Division 3, 'BdEx Boys' clinched a narrow 2-1 win over 'Any Holes A Goal' where they both went hammer and tongue to score the winning goal however, it was 'BdEx Boys' who provided the coveted winning goal. 'Saka Potatoes' took a 5-0 win on the night in there game. 'I Only Put Matip In' drew 1-1 with 'FC Resonance' with both providing great defensive displays, but neither could provide the attacking goods.
The team of the week, after putting in a scintillating display were 'Six Offenders FC', scoring multiple goals and gaining revenge for the result they had against this opposition last season. With this result they have recorded there first win of the season, however while in the relegaton zone are one point off second in a very tight division. Teams will be eagerly anticipating the next round of fixtures as the teams continue to vie for supremacy in their divisions.
As a side note can people please ensure they are following the rules on guest players as stated on the terms and conditions on the website and match balls are to be used as such so bring your own balls to warm up with you to avoid missing out warming up before your game.
