STOURBRIDGE TUESDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 20TH DECEMBER

All the latest news for the Stourbridge Tuesday 6-a-side League direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club.

A fantastic night 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Tuesday League. 

We had a few non-attendances so the league will be in contact with these teams to confirm their return after the Christmas break. It is paramount all teams are at the league each and every week and if there is anything happening to get in the way of this then the team contacts the Area Manager with enough notice to help if necessary.

In more positive news, game of the night in the Premier Division this week goes to the game between the two newly promoted sides 'Hold That FC' and 'Sporting Kford'. In a cracking end to end battle that saw nine goals and a goal with the last kick of the game to win it, it was 'Hold That FC' who ran out 5-4 winners. Two points off top after three games can they keep the good start going?

Some brilliant games throughout Division One and lots of goals but it was the game between 'Borussia Teeth' and 'Stourbridge Olympic' who played out the game of the night. In a high tempo game and with 7 goals scored 'Borussia Teeth' were able to run out 4-3 winners in the end and climb the table as a result. They will be looking to build on this as the season progresses and it will be interesting to see if they can keep the run going after the Christmas break against 'RHs Finest'.

Division Two game of the night was the game between 'FC Resonance' and 'Saka Potatoes'. In a 5-goal thriller it was 'FC Resonance' who came out on top 4-1 to find themselves 4th after week three and chasing the top two spaces. Next up is 'HAS Bins' and with them both settling into the season ahead it will be interesting to see who comes out on top.

Team of the week for this week has to be Division Two's top team 'Another Chance'. After another win they are one of two sides yet to drop a point in this Division. That could all change in the weeks to come but they are playing well at the moment.

The league is now off for one week due to the Christmas holidays and will return Tuesday 3rd January 2023. We look forward to having you all back playing on this date! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!
