STOURBRIDGE TUESDAY 6 A SIDE BREAKING NEWS 12TH APRIL 2022

All the latest news for the Stourbridge Tuesday 6-a-side League is direct from Stourbridge Rugby Club. 

A fantastic night of 6-a-side football in the Stourbridge Tuesday League with all teams in attendance as expected. It was also great to welcome new team 'Bespoke Ballers' to the league as they were very competitive in there first game. Although it ended in defeat we look forward to seeing how they get on moving forward. Good luck boys!

The Premier League provided plenty of entertainment as there were competitive games throughout the evening. However, the game of the evening resulted in a 6-3 victory for '50 Shades Of O'Shea' as they beat 'Gangsters Allardyce' in a thriller of a match where both sides played extremely well. Unfortunately a brace and overall good game from James Watts was not enough to impact the game and an excellent performance from Mark Bellingham who also scored a brace provided the deciding factor. '50 Shades Of O'Shea' remain unbeaten however are in second place to 'Rare FC', with four games to go who will come out on top?

Division 1 was also very entertaining with lots of close games. The game of the evening resulted in a 2-1 victory for 'Innocent Until Proven Gylfi' as they beat 'Haven't Got A Kalou' having entered the game as underdogs.  They also move up a place in the division as they look to finish as strongly as possible and thanks to two goals from Corey they were able to get the win. We look forward to see if 'Haven't Got A Kalou' can bounce back from this defeat and maintain their promotion push in the top 2 spaces. 

The team of the evening this week is 'Winlot Rangers' with an excellent victory over 'Resonance FC', this win means they are now up to 5 points and looking to finish strong as we near the new season. The performance was inspired by an excellent team performance as they ran out 3-1 winners. Next up 'Innocent Until Proven Gylfi', who will come out on top?
