All the latest news for the Wolverhampton Sunday 6-a-side League direct from Khalsa Academy.
A great night of games throughout the league, with plenty of talent on show which shows the quality within the Khalsa Academy Sunday League.
We did unfortunately have a non-attendances as 'All Stars FC' were unable to fulfil their fixture. As this is the second non-attendance of 'All Stars FC' in a row, as pre the terms of conditions they will now be removed from the league with immediate effect. Although it opens up a space in the league it is paramount that all teams try there hardest to get a team out each and every week in order for the league to run as smoothly as possible.
In more positive news, we welcome new teams 'Portugal', 'Staffordshire Seagulls' and 'Angry Birds FC'. All were in very competitive games and the league looks forward to seeing how they do in the coming weeks. Good luck all!
Game of the night this week goes to the game between '50 Shades Of Andy Gray’ and ‘BXLLERS CLXB’ Where '50 Shades Of Andy Gray’ narrowly edged a victory over ‘BXLLERS CLXB’ 2-1. This excellent victory sees '50 Shades Of Andy Gray’ move into 3rd place in the table as they begin to push for the top 2 places in the league as they continue their good run of form. However, this does not go without the recognition of the valent effort of ‘BXLLERS CLXB’ trying to escape the bottom 2 by narrowly losing to the 3rd place team. We look forward to seeing how both teams continue for the continuation of the season.
Team of the week for this week are ’50 Shades of Andy Gray’ due to their excellent continuation of form and progression to 3rd place in the league with their 2-1 victory this Sunday. This week was also the celebration of '50 Shades Of Andy Gray's’ 2 year anniversary of joining the league we thank them for their excellent commitment to the league over their time here and look forward to years to come.
